1. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
Q: What do I need to use PatchFlow with my iPad?
A: It depends on your iPad model:
- iPad with Lightning port: you need a Camera Connection Kit (CCK) with USB port and power input.
- iPad with USB-C port: you need a USB-C hub with power pass-through (to charge the iPad while using it).
2. CONNECTING MIDI DEVICES
Q: How do I connect my keyboards and sound modules?
A:
- Connect the MIDI USB interfaces of your devices to the Camera Connection Kit or USB-C hub.
- If you have multiple devices, use a powered USB hub to connect them all, then connect that hub to your CCK or USB-C hub.
- Each MIDI device must be connected through its own MIDI USB interface.

Tip: Make sure all your devices are powered on before launching the app.
3. MIDI CONFIGURATION IN PATCHFLOW
Q: How do I set up MIDI inputs and outputs in PatchFlow?
A:
- Open PatchFlow.
- Go to Settings → MIDI Input or Settings → MIDI Output.

7. IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT LOCAL CONTROL
Q: My synth acts as both a master keyboard and a sound module. What should I do?
A:
Disable Local Control on your synth so PatchFlow can manage MIDI routing entirely.
How to do this:
Check your synth’s manual and set Local Control = OFF.
8. QUICK RECAP
Play and verify that routing works as expected.
Connect and power all your MIDI devices properly.
Open PatchFlow → enable and rename your MIDI interfaces.

Create and save your first patch.
